Weekly Space Weather Summary Report for June 6, 2012 - June 12, 2012
## Message Type: Weekly Space Weather Summary Report for June 6, 2012 - June 12, 2012
##
## Message Issue Date: 2012-06-13T23:05:00Z
## Report Coverage Begin Date: 2012-06-06T00:00:00Z
## Report Coverage End Date: 2012-06-12T23:59:59Z
## Message ID: 20120613-7D-001
## Summary:
Solar activity was at low to moderate levels for this reporting period with 3 M-class flares from the active region 1504. A few CMEs were detected (see below for details) with no significant space weather effects.
Geomagnetic activity was at low to disturbed levels with the Kp index (a measure of geomagnetic activity, ranging 0-9)
The >0.8 MeV energetic electron flux at GEO was increasing at the beginning of the reporting week due to the impact of the coronal hole high speed solar wind streams starting at 2012-06-04 and crossed the threshold value of 10^5 pfu at 2012-06-07T15:15Z (see the alert 20120607-AL-001). Then it came back to the nominal levels at the end of the reporting week.
There is no energetic proton event detected during the reporting week.
Space weather impact:
Space weather impact on spacecraft is likely to have been small for the reporting week.
